Definitely, Studio Six Digital has some iphone/touch apps (spl meters and rtas) that have been reviewed as being pretty accurate.

If I knew anything about that kind of testing I would be happy to do it for you. I will check out the apple apps though.

check your local shops, they might have a spl meter or RTA for you... probably more chance of a spl meter than a rta... down side is they probably will charge you. Maybe the shop that you purchased your stuff at has either of them... then maybe you can have them do it for free.

I forgot that I have a radio shack sound meter. Do I just crank up the volume and see how many db register? Any suggested tracks to test with?

I was just thinking... (dangerous I know) hehe

If you took this box
http://www.supercrewsound.com/commer...d=123&catId=58

and recut the holes to fit the JL13.5 sub it should work fine. The JL requires .08 cu ft per sub... and the box gives. .95 per sub. Plus the mounting depth is ok... over double the room. What do you guys think... wouldn't this set up be awesome...

No big deal on the holes. Just recut them. The box would fit perfectly.

opinions... gator ?

It should work but the box requires the seats to be lifted. And to add the lift kit to the order was another $170 I noticed!

True, but in order to get two subs in a truck you would need to do it anyways.. So anyone that is wanting this much bass, would be doing it any way..

know what I mean...

here is a box that would not require the bracket, but would only be 1 sub...

http://www.supercrewsound.com/commer...d=375&catId=58

plus it's on sale for $99

Click on the picture for more pictures.
If you go with this box you don't need a seat lift kit, you don't need to settle for a shallow sub, the mounting depth is 6.5 inches and the box has the proper floor clearance.
If you look at the picture of the single sub supercrewsound box the bottom of the box is about 1 inch from the floor which is not good.
Also note that the $165 price comes with free shipping.
