Thanks everyone.. Joeboost.. I don't have enough material to seal all of my doors. This is a "HOW TO" for the 6x9's ..LOL! Maybe you could do a thread on "HOW TO" seal all four doors! ..I'd subscribe that that!

Guess I should post up the last of the front door "HOW TO" install 6x9 speaker pictures. Here ya go..

This first picture is just a shot of how everything was mounted in, followed by the plastic being put back in place and re-taping some of the Ford factory wires..

Next set of pictures will be dealing with the door panel. I used a rotary tool with the same cut off wheel that I used on the metal doors. I turned my rotary tool settings to a speed of "2". If the rotary wheel is spinning too fast, you will just resolidify the plastic and have to do it all over again. This is the most delicate part of the process so TAKE YOUR TIME! I used some simple masking tape and taped off roughly 1" or so from the edge of the door speaker mount. This process took me about 30 minutes from start to finish so just be patient. The final product will look like a factory finish..

Here is the final result. It blends really well with the shape of the stock speaker hole and the sound is much louder and deeper than a factory (or similar 5x7 speaker). The speaker fit perfectly and the factory grill easily clears the coaxial portion of this speakers' dual tweeter assembly..

Thank you for the compliment! As for the sound, it sounds phenomenal (but I've still got to break the speakers in).. I'll report back in about 2 weeks!

Darn! ..Hmm, well I'm probably going to purchase a 2013 Nismo 370z in Sept or Oct. I plan on doing a system in that but it's a Nissan :-(
(please don't hold that against me.. It's going to be my wifes car).

Oh, I forgot to take a picture of the other side. Guess it doesn't matter but just for matching sake, here it is..

Wow, excellent job man! What did you end up doing with the Polk's you had in there? If you're selling them, LMK!

Well, thank you! As for the Polk db571's that I had in there, they are sitting own my counter top, back in their factory polk audio box. I've run into a snag. My initial measurements showed that I could get the MM691's in the front doors AND the back doors. FRONT DOORS: no problem. They are in and they sound superb. The BACK DOORS: the speaker will fit just like the front ones however after measuring and re-measuring, the space between metal rear door and the plastic door panel appears to be the issue. The dual tweeter assembly portion of the coax MM691 appears that it might be too big. So, as it stands now, my rear doors still have the other set of Polk db571's in them.

I purchased the MM691's brand new last week so it appears that I am "stuck" with a pair of brand new Polk MM691 6x9's now and I have my used Polk db571's from the front doors. Ughhhhhhh! ..haha.
