Beer Drinkin Hell Raiser
remote
I have 2011 XLT & bought Ford remote start - its literally plug & play-
only took 20 mins install- the bad news is you have to have the dealer
flash it to your dash to work, but then its all included in your dash info.
If your dealers nice they'll cut u a break for reflash if you buy it from them.

When I was shopping around for a truck I was wondering if it would turn on defrosters etc and the factory remote start will indeed do that. If you get that feature on an aftermarket setup its going to be significantly more.

Put your zip in there and search for nearby dealers who will install it and what their price will be.

wow i wish i read this sooner i just put in a 2 way python but if i want to use it with my phone i have to buy a drone mod and pay a monthly fee i want to look into the ford one to see if i can somehow add it

i just read more about it and you have to buy a couple of mods and pay 50$ a year its not free drone is actually cheaper if you buy 3 years up front so i dont feel that bad the only thing im not clear on if if the ford one also works in conjunction with a key or external button

I had a remote start installed after the fact in my 2011 Sonata (from the dealer) and the range on it was pretty incredible. Could start it from within a cinder block building 300' away.
Factory installed remote start on my F150 is sporadic from 50' away, was thinking (hoping) that an external antenna would help that.

When I bought my 13 SCab, I had the dealer install the remote start and they replaced the 2 factory keys with 2 factory keys with the remote start button.
