Why do you want a factory sub? Your truck isn't wired for one. Use the sub outs on your HU to an aftermarket sub

i have a factory sub just laying around I thought I would try to utilize it. But with aftermarket powered sub might just be the easier route. but if can wire the stock sub to the hu without spending alot of money. I would deal with that for the moment.....kinda on a budget right now

Check the other threads. I think someone wanted to buy a factory sub. If you could sell it then you could get what you really need.

Look at post #20 & #21 it's a 2009-10 factory sub there's a wiring diagram on post #27

Do you have the wiring harness?
The sub enable is likely 5v (from what I read on this forum) you'll need a 12v to 5v converter.

Is this all you need to know?

no my truck came with no harness. So i wanted to know if there is a way to hook this up without the harness. Can a buy a different sub and amp and utilize the stock box? I know its easier just to buy a aftermarket setup. but i believe anything is possible

Not you're truck. Does the factory sub/amp you have the harness attached to it with cut wires hanging out of it.

What year is the amp/sub you're trying to install?

By the time you mess around swapping parts you could buy a Sound Ordinance sub and hook it up.
