Help With Sound Ordnance B-8PTD

Just had a couple questions for those that may have done this install or have it installed currently.

I have a 13 Platinum with MFT and Sony stereo. I just replaced all the door speakers with Infinity Reference 6832's and love the sound improvement, however, it definitely needs more bass now. But before I buy it, I had a few questions that I'm hoping someone could answer.

1. Is it roughly the same size as the factory sub? I have the Weathertech mat back there and it is cutout the same size as the sub and just curious how well it would fit back there. I would hope it could tuck back enough where you couldn't see it from the outside.

2. I want to use the high level / speaker input for the signal source and turn on source. For those that did the install, where did you get this signal from? Is there a signal in the subwoofer wiring harness or did you just tap into the door speaker wiring? If so, what wires?

Also, for those that may have done this, what improvements over the factory sub did you notice? I've had big stereo's in many previous vehicles of mine and don't want to do that to this one. I just want something simple with some decent thump to it :)

Thanks in advance

Well I answered my own first question and it looks like its footprint is about the same as the factory Sony.

Factory Sony:
10 1/2" D
8" H
13 3/8" W

Sound Ordnance:
9 1/8" D
3 1/8" H
13 5/8" W

So now if someone could just give me an idea on where to tap in for the speaker level input, I would greatly appreciate it and could get this ordered and in process :)

tap into the rear speaker not the subwoofer. Ive heard its better signal on the DIY audio sight

Thanks for the info :) I was thinking I would have to get the input from the rear speaker input anyway, but was hoping it might be easier w/ the sub wires.

Anyone have any trick or knowledge of where those wires are run inside the cab? I assume I know where to look for them in the B-pillar where it comes through the door grommet, but if anyone has any other insight or input, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks
