fwiw the maestro rr also patches in the factory mic to my pioneer. i was told by two places that it didn't but it does. i also like keeping sync for the safety feature of making a phone call when there is an accident. i had a pretty bad one in a '12 fusion i bought new (totaled at 3 months old!) and sync called 911 for me. the sound of the operator woke me up. that feature alone is worth the price to me.

That's a great individual reason. I'm sure after something like that, you'll want a feature like that in every vehicle. I did read that the sync system is being cancelled. Do you know if that includes the dialing of 911?

While Maestro rr looks awesome, and something I'd love to have, it was far out of my budget. I had my truck for about 3 months before replacing the headunit and using the Pioneer mic, I was told by many that the phone call quality was much better. But who knows if that's true, as I can't hear myself on that end lol. I bought an adapter to use my USB plug in the Sync plate, however I'm not sure how I could've used the AUX port without some modification, so I just threw the other end of the aux cable into the glove compartment with the bypass switch. The other end is obviously in the stereo. I never use it, so that doesn't bother me.

Thinking about this box but cutting it down. I want it to fit under my single rear seat so I can keep the other two up.

they are killing the additional cost sync services. it will always work as a bt and audio commands in the truck, and for things like 911.

they sell pre-made boxes but they can customize them to your needs. i had them make one for a pair of 8s to fit under the bigger rear seat of my scab.

I ended up going with this...

Picked it up new for $380. I wanted the Android Auto and I liked the flatter look. The Pioneer deck I wanted, everyone complained about graphics, etc. so I passed.

I did get the IdataLink and I bought a Metra 95-5820HG.

Now I need to buy an sub and amp... Any suggestions?! I am thinking the Kenwood KFC-XW1000 and the proper amp. I want a small box.
