I have a JL http://www.jlaudio.com/10tw3-d4-car-...-drivers-92184 in a custom box I built. Sounds pretty good. Not as good as the store bought box. But it fits under the small back seat. I still have the store bought box.

I tried subs facing up in my crewcab and never could get it to sound right. I faced them back like a trunk and boom!! Granted I may have to move the box on a rare occasion, but I added longer speaker wires and quick disconnects just for this purpose.

I have two 10w3v3's under my backseat. There is no need for fiberglass unless there is less room in your cab than mine. I have a crewcab

Here is how I did mine, its a 13TW5v2 not a W3 but maybe it will help with ideas. I wanted mine firing down so that if someone sat on the seat it would not push down into the cone, I also did a seat lift so that I could get as much airspace as possible. JL recommends a minimum of .8 cuft, I ended up with just about 1.5 cuft all said and done.

i know a guy with 2 jlw3 under the seat of a scab sounds ok nothing special defiantly not worth 260 a sub he paid but since you already have it theres no reason not to use it. as far as the "magnet extension" thats just cut a hole and glass it over with fiberglass or another piece of wood...
