Heat issue cutting out amp

Heat issue cutting out amp
I have a small 1 amp setup behind my 2004 SCAB rear seat . Problem is that it gets hot and shuts off (yay! it works!). I have a single 10in sub under the read seat drivers side and 1 speaker in each door.
So what are my options for a simple fix? Fans? Not a lot of room back there.

so the one (small) amp is driving the 10 inch sub AND the door speakers? Is it a 4 channel amp? how do you have the gains set? cross overs set properly?

Its a 4 channel amp Rockville RXA-F1 in 3 channel mode. Front speakers in parallel on Ch1/2 (left/right) and Ch 3/4 bridged for the sub.
I could reroute under the passenger seat... but that's a last resort.. I like it hidden.
Would moving the sub to its own amp help?

Yes it set up and working fine... its just that extended high power use put it into thermal shutdown (which is good, but annoying).

First ensure you remove all carpet that is touching your amp. You could also provide more air flow as that amp you have may need more then higher efficiency amps. I've gapped less efficient amps on the backside by placing small blocks underneath and installed a small 12 volt computer fan in the back to suck the hot air out.
If that fails consider this amp. The kicker's sub channel is class d so it is more efficient than the a/b 4 channel portion.

The install is a standard bolt it to the metal behind the seat support install. There is about 1in gap between the amp and the seat but the seat is angled and made of foam so I assume the heat just builds up then put it into thermal shutdown.
I'll take the seat back off and see if I can make room for a fan.
The amps isn't that powerful but I can only play it loud for maybe 10-15 minutes till it goes off.

I took a look at the amp you have....um...I'd invest in a better amp! or better yet..invest in 2 better amps! One mono amp for your 10 and a stereo amp for your door speakers. That Rockville really doesnt have close to 800 watts and you are totally over driving it and asking it to do more then it ever can! Im sure you are clipping the hell out of it, which in return is heating it up and sooner or later will destroy your sub and door speakers.
