Default Headrest monitor install - Confused!

I bought two headrest monitors off Craigslist and wanted to install them in my 09 Platinum. Problem is, it didn't come with any wiring documents and there is nothing available on the web. There are three wires - red, black and yellow coming out of each of them. There are not any other inputs/outputs in either of the monitors and it didn't come with a control box. Any ideas on how to connect this thing to a DVD player and get it powered up?

Any ideas are greatly appreciated...

Haha! No, they aren't hot. The guy was driving the car these were installed in. I called him after when I stupidly realized I didn't know how to hook it up. He looked under the seats for other parts that could have been hooked up to it but didn't see anything.

How should I test and see what is what? At this point, if I fry them its fine. I just don't want to hurt my truck.

Well if your ok with frying them, put some power to the red wire and ground to the black wire and see if it least turnes on. If it turns on, then what could try is find a video cord that is like a cheepy one, cut one end off, strip the wire down and wire it into the yellow wire on the monitor. Then plug the male side of the video cord into like a dvd player or something that you can test it on.

very strange he ripped it that way....

RCA cables has two wires tipically... so if yellow is the video, where is the ground? maybe the same black?

what model is that monitor? do you have any information on the back of it? you can find the manual or details online

Ya, it is.In like 15 years of doing my own car audio projects, and lots of them, I have NEVER just ripped some wires out when un installing. You ALWAYS cut them with snips. This is why I laughed up above ...
Anyway, to hook em up you need to get a navtv module with rse.

The ground for the RCA video is probably the tin foil looking stuff wrapped around the other three wires. good luck getting the wire to splice to that.
