Getting impatient w/ this harness

Hey, did y'all get your harnesses yet? Looks like the FOR-11CK is pretty darn elusive. In fact, Amazon states that it is unavailable for the foreseeable future (basically). However, I found this other harness http://www.hfvt.com/content/page/cat...-%20NON-AMP::5
It is made by a company called HFVT. Could someone with more audio technical expertise take a look and see if this would be a good substitution for the FOR-11CK? It states that it is for installing Parrot kits in 2014-2017 F-150 with standard radio (4.2" screen), which is what I have. I just wanted to get an "expert" opinion. I am also going to contact the mfr, but they may not like the fact that I plan to use their harness for something other than what was intended. Don't know how they will respond. There has to be something out there to use for installing an amp in these trucks without cutting into the factory wiring...

I just went ahead & replaced all of the stock speakers in the doors w/ 6 1/2" Polks. Plenty loud for me

I gave up. Sent back my Alpine amp & got a refund, then cancelled the order for the harness. He did state that they would be shipping late June, but at that point I already had my mind made up.

Sorry you had to give up. The listing on Amazon looked a little bizarre. Perhaps they just got flooded with orders and could not keep up. At any rate, it does not seem like good business practice jerking y'all around like that. I was looking at Polk for replacement speakers as well. Which Polks did you go with? Components in the front and coax in the rear?

Good to hear (pardon the pun). I was looking at the DB6502 components. Did you just use the factory wiring? Was the install pretty straight forward? I just want to get some insight before I go tearing into the doors and A pillars.

You also have to get creative & make a bracket to hold the tweeters in the a-pillars. I cut up & made use of some metal drywall cornerbead for a strap

Thanks for the info. From the reviews I have read, I think that the Polks will be a good bet for replacing the factory speakers. And, now that I think of it, I believe that I saw the cornerbead brackets for the tweeters in another thread. I have read so many audio threads lately that they are running together in my mind....

The FOR-11ck is supposed to ship to me today or tomorrow......I've heard that before, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. The manufacturer was having delays because the connectors were on backorder

I bought 2 sets of these for the 4 doors
Marine rated because our doors are not water proof, they sound pretty damn good but can handle a whole lot more power than the stock head unit pushes, enter inline amp, enter no pass thru amp harness available, enter disgust.
