I'm currently putting a set of Sundown Audio SA-6.5 components in my 06 SuperCrew. My doors are deadened pretty well, and I will be feeding them roughly 150w per side, with passive crossovers for now. I will let you know how I like them, since they are a pretty decently price item for your budget.
This is great advice and I'll be sure to put think in other posts, but I have a question first. I'm just thinking out loud here. If I had a pair of high quality front components and ran the rear speaker wires to the front speakers too, would that produce more watts to the front speakers an overall better performing sound system?

I have focal 165fx in the front and 165 ac in the rear. Two 8 inch subs in a custom box under crew seat and added a 5 way XDi 850.5 amp. Focal BAM sound deadening on all the doors.

Couldn't be happier. I absolutly love it, you can put the focals all the way up pretty much and get zero distortion. Messing with the sub level I can really blast some hip hop or I can turn it down and get great sound out of some rock.

What people are telling you on here is what my shop told me. Rear speakers matter little unless you have people back there/really really really need to blast it so loud you will die. Also sound deadening was something the guy said most people over look but is one of the most important parts of the job, and to put as much as I was willing to spend in. Seen some cars with the whole floor and ceiling along with the doors.

Cost me about 3k installed, I didn't go to the cheapest shop around me, but the most reliable one. So could have saved maybe 200 or so in installation costs going somewhere with cheaper labor.

really jealous of the equipment list... Tad different goals than me, but that is super top notch gear there.

I appreciate that. I shopped for 6 months trying to get good deals on all that equipment. It turned out really nice - I can't say enough about all those brands and how things naturally meshed in the truck. It's a passive x-over network and when I installed I originally planned to move to active at some point down the road but I'm so satisfied with the sound at this point I'm inclined not to change a thing. However I have my passive x-overs mounted on the rear wall with my amp rack so I already have 2 runs of 14AWG to the front doors so at least testing active is as easy as making a few switches at the amp rack itself.
