The clay is what fully seals the speaker into the door. It's super easy to work with too, just non hardening clay.

Everything is finally finished and it sounds powerful and amazing. I'll post another picture of the doors with the tweeters tomorrow.

Now I've got a really weird issue. Everything sounds great when the key is on, but once I crank the truck I'm getting a high pitched noise through the speakers.

Check all your grounds first

I had it sanded down the ground really good so it should be okay? Why would it work with the key half turned but then mess up when the engine is on.

I'm going to check a few things out tomorrow and see if I can get rid of this obnoxious noise. :/
