Which front door speakers to pick????

I'm trying to upgrade and doing it a component at a time. Keeping the stock head unit for now and not trying to win any competitions but like my music. A lot of what I have is from all the research I've done here but don't know which speakers to purchase for the front doors.

What I have so far is foxacoustics single sub box for with a Jl Audio W3 10"

Kappa 682.9 for the rear

Purchasing a JL Audio XD700-5

I'm going with the component speakers for the front doors and can't swing the Kappa series, but which of these others should I get. Not fluent enough to know. I've already pissed off the wife with what I've spent so must tread lightly. Thanks for help

If you look at the most expensive, @ 169.99 I would look for a set of 6.5 component set instead.. Better sound and check some installs here for tweeter placement. Thats my opinion though.... Look for MB quart, Rockford, Kenwood.. They all have sets under 200.00 dollars, much better than 6X8 or 5X7....

are you against a custom pieced together piece?

6.5" sealed components all the way.

Ok so far this is what I've got. Fox vented 10" downward firing box with a JLW3. Infinity 6x8 Kappas Components for the front and 6x8 coax for the rear. Now trying to decide on which 5channel amp and trying not to piss off the wife any further. Besides the amp what converter do I need? Once all is in I'm gonna take it to local stereo shop and have them do the install.

Do not go with an oval component speaker. A 6.5" component would produce a much better sound. I'm sure with a free weekend you could install it all yourself, I'd be here willing to help, along with several other guys also. And not to mention, installing it all by yourself would not only save you money, but impress the wife!:thumbup:

And with that saved money you could get a nicer set like this..

They'd sound wonderful!

I agree with MOTO, the speaker installs are simple... if you're not comfortable working behind the deck or pushing wires through your firewall, have someone else install the amp.
