Default Front components

Two quick questions, I want to install components in the front doors in my 2010 f150, if I tap the wires at the back of the factory deck using the Metra harness then run new wires from the amp to the speakers will I still be able to hear sync. Has anyone installed the tweeters in the doors, I don't want to cut the door panel, I would like to install them near the woofer behind the screen?

Thanks
Corey

Yes if you use the BT-5520 harness you will be fine... all you are doing is cutting into the speaker leads...

Obviously you will need the proper high level converters between the HU and the amps (unless your amps take speaker line levels in)

If you don.t want to install in the proper locations which will involve cuttimg a hole in the door panel, then you should just go with biax.

Metra Universal Speaker Adapter Plates 5-1/4 Speaker - Metra 825601

I'm Going to be using these on my 11' XLT Screw ordered them on amazon about $15 Using the Kappa 50.9cs 5.25 components.

Oh and DO NOT hook a speaker up to both an amp and head unit. The amp will feed back to the head unit and fry it. High power input into an output = white smoke and fried electronics. I learned this the hard way on an Alpine head unit. I added an amp and forgot to cut the leads from the head unit. I did a post on how to wire up a BT-5520 https://www.f150forum.com/f30/bt-552...ny-nav-139882/
