The 70W amp will work, but if you want to push your speakers the best get a 100Wx2 @ 2Ohms amp. If you don't give your speakers the power they need/want then they won't sound as good.

thats a complete false statement, will the original poster please dont listen to this post that i have quoted, the amp you posted will make them sound fine...if you wanna get a smaller one they will sound good they wont "sound bad"

Thats not false and I never said they would sound bad, just not as good as pushed to the max, which may not be what he wants. All I am saying is if he wants the best performance, get more power to the speakers.

your wrong yet again..it wont always sound the best pushed at max, if you have a speaker rated at 100 rms and you give it 75 rms, you will be able to play it loud and longer than if you gave it the full 100 rms...power equals heat, heat equal's failure, 99% of speakers fail due to heat..im not saying you cant power it to its full potential but alot of the speakers on the market were not designes to take full power all day long

great option there, i would try to get a 4 channel tho as some songs have the switching per channel and its a 4 door more expandability and phasing with the songs like its supposed to have, you could easily do a 2 channel too tho

Im with logan, its not always best to push a speaker to its max. I have noticed several brands "rockford fosgate, kicker, jla, sony, and kenwood, all sound better when they are not being pushed at their max.

Also, like logan said, they are not really designed to run all day long at peak power. You run a much higher risk of burning them up

Fellas, your discussion has helped me to decide on what to do. I'll try both amps and see which one sounds better. I already have the alpine MRP-F450 (100 watts rms @ 2 ohms). I'll have the MRP-T220 (70 watts rms @ 2 ohms) in about a week. Once I run the wiring for one amp it will be easy to just unhook and try the other one. The F450 is a 4 channel amp and like I was saying I only need 2 channels for the front infinity 6820cs components. If the 100 watt F450 sounds better I'll use it anyway since I already have it and if I decide to upgrade my powered sub (saleen rockford F. 10") I'll have the extra 2 channels to bridge together for a better subwoofer. I just thought that the smaller amp would be easier to mount/hide somewhere. Now if it will just get above 20 degrees outside I can start installing. This weather is killlin me
