I had the same problem where my foxbox didn't have enough clearance on the ground in my '10 SCAB... The outside had a "leg" on it, inside part was meant to rest on the center hump that does not exist anymore this year.... so I cut a piece of wood to lift that side of the box up, carpeted it, screwed it on and it works just fine.

I haven't had any issues with the box seeping air... but I haven't been running it too hard either.

I was planning on running a foxbox in my 07 SCAB with an older Alpine Type R in it. After reading all this now I'm not so sure...

I hear what you are saying... my feeling on it is that the foxboxes are reasonably priced enough that they are only a little more than the money (and time) of effort I'd spend to do it myself and gets me 95% or better of the way I need to be to get to where I'm going... if I have to make a small modification to finish it up in order to save the cost between them and a much more expensive box that is form fitted plastic or some other such description, then I don't have a problem with it.

The guy was quick to respond to e-mails and was very honest with what would work and what wouldn't work. I'm sure if there was an easy fix to make them work better, he'd be happy to incorporate them... I'd buy from him again, even with the minor issue I had and even if I need to reseal this box at a later date.
