Fosgate vs. Alpine. which sub would you get?
so, currently im Using a Fosgate P1S410 (http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/produ...8&locale=en_US )
this is my second one, and ive been driving for two months.. the thing just cant handle very much wattage.
The amp im Using is a JL E1400D (http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...io-e1400D.html )
The sub im considering changing out my fosgate for is an Alpine SWS-1043D
( http://www.crutchfield.com/p_500SWS1...3D.html?tp=111 )
sorry for all of the links, but id rather switch to a stronger sub before i blow this one so i can get some money back out of it. so in your opinions which one is a keeper, or do you have another suggestion? top mount depth needs to be about 5 1/8 or less.
Thank You!!

Honestly, If you can spend a little more go for an Alpine Type R sub. Great bang for your buck. You will be very happy. Been into serious car audio for about 15 years. Just so you have an idea I'm not blowing smoke.
Google up reviews, or read around on car audio forums if you would like many more opinions.Good luck either way!
Oh no...I just seen it has to be 5 1/8 or less deep, well Im not sure what the type R is...

If you can avoid a shallow mount that would be good. They just are not the same. They are at best ok...

I've had Alpine and Jl Audio..both very good speakers! but one day I tried out Diamond Audio and I haven't bought anything but DA since. Can't beat the price for sound and if you're limited on space, the 10's will fit under your back seat..that's what I've got in mine.
Here's the link for the D1's-
