Newby here to forum here... Please help

I have been using the search engine to help me find some aftermarket add on for my new 2014 SCAB xlt 4x4....

I am interested in upgrading the stereo system...I have the LCD regular stereo....I was told by salesman that the only upgrade is adding an amp.....

Is that so?

Also, the rear speaker in the rear door seems smaller. Anybody know whats size?

How much is a decent upgrade going to set me back? (doing it myself)

I would start by upgrading the door speakers. The rear doors are the same size as the front. 5x7 or 6x8 will fit. I would also tap into the rear speaker wires and add an LOC and run it to a sub amp. I did that. Installed amp under passenger seat and put 2 - 10 inch subs under the rear seat. If you want more power for the door speakers you can add an inline amp like the Clarion or Alpine. You will need another wiring harness for that to work. You can find all that info in another thread. They do make dash kits for you to install an aftermarket HU but for now they look pretty crappy.
