Default FIX86 or DSR1?

Looking for some help on what processor to go with. I've had my system installed using the following below and have had bad luck with the PAC piece and looking to swap it out. The fix has some great reviews but the more I read on the DSR1 the more I like it but it has some terrible reviews! Are the bugs getting worked out of these or is there better options? Looking for any suggestions???

The DSR provides the best integration. Plug and play with the harness. Software is getting better from my understanding. Really buggy to begin with. There’s a guy on here that has one, loves it.

Another option is to do the Forscan tweak that changes the speaker outputs to low level and eliminates the factory EQ. Solder or crimp on some RCA ends and you're set. It really is the best way and retains all your factory controls and features.

OP has a Sony. I don't think this will work

Is the Forscan change something I can ask my dealer to do? That sounds like a heluva lot cheaper and easier than screwing around with DSP's piggy backed with summing devices and all the other black magic and sourcery that seems necissary to get good dang signal out of these head units.
My truck will (2018 on order) have the 7 speaker, 8" Nav without Sony.
