Default finally a good 2013-14 stereo install kit on the way!

I have been researching this Ford kit problem for a while. I just got off the phone with the I datalink marketing guys. They are releasing a much better kit than the Advent or the Metra next month. its in production now. attached is a image of their kit! I couldn't get any further info, but the guy said they should be announcing release dates on Facebook/marketing soon.

In addition, they will be releasing a newer I datalink Sync controller, that should allow for enhanced Sync and vehicle controls, like doors, tires, ect.

Their Facebook is

Certainly a step in the right direction, just hope it doesn't peter out like the Advent system.

Nice bezel but without an interface it's sort of useless. Would appreciate if you had a non facebook link for those of us that despise that place.

Do you have any additional information or links besides Facebook? When is this going to be released?

Thanks for the heads up about this. Definitely a wait & see kind of thing.

For me, right now it's a meh. It has the same crappy HVAC controls as OEM (I hate pressing the center button to cycle through defrost/heater/vent) and the bottom cubby for the USB jacks doesn't look deep enough to plug in a USB stick & close it like the OEM part.

I'll just drop this here from the advent string to add a little more clarity:

Will work with 2013-2014 F-150 pickups with 4.3 inch screen ("My Ford") radios. It will have two trim bezels, one for standard 2Din radios and one for the Alpine 8 inch radio. The pocket has 2 USB, 1 HDMI and 1 AV 3.5mm flush mounted inside.

The HVAC ***** are all ours, but exactly match the OEM look, feel and functions. You will also be able to control your climate on screen.

The FO2 T-harness and software will:

Retain Sync
Add gauges
Add Vehicle Info - tire pressure, doors, batt voltage, check engine light
Add Visual Parking Assist (NEW) - Show you the distance to an object on screen when truck is in reverse.

Will create separate announcement post once we are closer to shipping.

Best,
