I used this Cadence 0/4 gauge dual amp kit. Not too bad.

Wow I really really like that! It comes with the distro block too! The speaker wire might be a little too short though.

I also used 2 XScorpion Ring Battery Terminals (http://www.darvex.com/store/pc/XScor...inal-14p33.htm)when I installed my amp, mostly because I was doing the Big 4 Electrical Upgrade at the same time. Battery terminals were nice quality and allowed easy hookup of existing wires.

So would that cadence kit be enough for a 250rms amp and say maybe a 400rms amp?

also in the pre made kits it only gives you a short run of ground, it IS better to run a ground to the front battery as well as doing the big 3...a shorter ground is not always better

IMO I'd upgrade the chasis ground and keep the amp ground wire as short as possible. The long amp ground could also create ground loop noise. Many pople use the seat bolt as it is a solid ground. Also, the little if any voltage loss at the amp wouldn't justify the cost difference of 10 feet or so more ground wire . Especially if you get into 0 gauge wire. The ground to the battery is a good way to go for the car guys that have relocated the battery to the trunk tho.

Yeah I'll just stick with grounding the 0 gauge from the distro black behind the back seat!
