F150 S-Cab AVH-P4000DVD Installation Question!
I just received my Pioneer H/U and was wondering if I needed an antenna adaptor. I have a 2004 F150 Super Cab. Also I'm getting a professional to install it, so what do I need to do to get him to install the bypass feature for the dvd player to work while driving?

for that unit, no you do not need the adapter. I have this unit in my 2006 s-cab and installed myself. It is extreamly simple if you just read the instructions. it does make htings a LOT easier if you get a wireing harness. (just my 2 cents worht...install it yourself, save 50+ bucks and then you can do your video bypass on your terms). but if your taking it to a place like best-buy, then tell the installer to leave the e-brake wire just hanging behind the dash so that way you can do it yourself. they won't do it just because its not just ground the wire and it works, you need to hook it up to a temp. ground switch...which requires them to supply the switch, drill the hole, extra work=extra money...pluss its illegeal. do it yourself. its very easy to do, Im sure ppl on here including myself would be more than happy to talk you threw a step by step

Ok... Well I bought the wiring harness and inst. kit, but held off from buying the antenna adaptor because I thought I had heard before that I didn't need it so thanks for clerifying that for me. Also its my cousin doing the installation so hopefully he will do the bypass for me lol... but if not i'll be on here looking for instructions on doing it! Thanks for the help
