A dumb sound quality question(maybe)
So yesterday I installed the new alpine ktp-445U amp, with a pac aoem-24 harness. I followed the instructions in that "small 4 channel amp" thread.
It sounds awesome!!! Bass is deeper, highs are cleaner, everything sounds great on the radio, and cd.
The aux input however seems to have a slight crackle sometimes. Its only on certain songs it seems. Normally when a guitar chord rings out(I'm a metal head). Is this a problem with the aux input? My ipod?(it is an older one)
Its just weird that everything else sounds awesome, except the aux input

Does it help to lower the ipod volume and increase it at the head unit? The amp on the ipod will distort just like the amp on the head unit when it's turned up.
