1/4" ABS is fine. 1/2" if you want to overbuild. Sealed MDF might be okay, but I'd just use ABS to avoid the possibility of it breaking down from moisture.

HushCarAudio sells pre-cut ABS panels for a reasonable price.

1/4" I would never use mdf in a moisture rich environment. Use abs.

I cut these out of 1/8 ABS on the laser. 1/4 is a really tight fit and most guys have a hard time getting the panel on..

It must be sealed with bed liner. I recall taking out some speakers and the MDF baffles had mushroomed at the edges from moisture.

You can look on ebay for HDPE (cutting board material) as I found it to be cheaper to get in Canada. You can pretty much select your sheet size and thickness on ebay. It is waterproof and very strong.

I don't care what you cover or coat MDF with (including resin), it will absorb moisture if exposed to moisture. I've seen it happen to the best treated projects in mdf.

I only use mdf on subwoofer enclosures. And, I'm starting to move away from that in some cases. Everything else is plastics - acrylic, pvc, hdpe, etc.

Hush Car Audio on this forum sells them. Send Bruce a PM. But, if you own a router or a jig saw and sander, they are very easy to make.
