Default Did stereo shop hook up my two 2ohm svc subs and mono amp right??

I've searched for days and and am getting even more lost fast.
I have:
two 2ohm svc subs Pioneer TS-SW3001S2
HiFonices Brutus BRZ1200.1D amp is rated at 4-ohms=450x1, 2-ohms=900x1, 1-ohm= 1200x1

I dont know how to label wired configuration it has now but it's as simple as pos/neg from one sub to pos/neg to amp, then same with other sub to other pos/neg on amp.

Is my mono amp 1ohm stable since it gives 1ohm reading?? Should I wire it in parrallel to achieve 1ohm? Can I even do that with my mono amp???

Please help, I did use the search function.....and google....and Ask.com....and crutchfield, etc.

Yes your amp says its 1 ohm stable. Given your subs impedance and mono amp you have two power level choices: 450 watts or 1200 watts claimed power.

HAK; thanks for the quick response. I appreciate it .

Now I did run into the 1st link you provided. Followed the steps and it showed me.....
http://a248.e.akamai.net/pix.crutchf...2-ohm_mono.jpg

But that's wiring it to a 4ohm. I wanted a 1ohm if possible.

Your 2nd link is what I want to try because that's not how its wired, unless I'm reading the link wrong. My amp has pos/neg and pos/neg. He just plug and played, pos/neg from one sub to pos/neg on one side of amp and the same for other sub to the other pos/neg of amp, direct connect.

I want to try to do 2nd link. Hope I dont blow nothing.

Two dual 2 ohm subs will get you to a .5 ohm wired parallel/parallel or a 2 ohm load wired series parallel. In order to get all power from your amp you need dual 4 ohm coils wired parallel/parallel.

Class d amps are summed internally meaning both positives and both negatives connect to the same place on the board. You're unable to obtain a 1 ohm load with your dual 2 ohm subs.

His amp is not .5 ohm stable though. Will go to 1 ohm. He has SVC subs.

this is where I get lost. I know I might get better sound with diff speakers, but for the set up I have now, I'm wanting to know the best way to wire to get the most out of set up.

If I wire both pos's together, then both neg's together, and run them to amp, will I achieve 1ohm?? I've had other amps and it'd be labeled on amp where to connect to "bridge". My amp just has pos/neg right, pos/neg left.

If I'm understanding correctly, does that mean I'm only getting 450x1 @ 4ohms???

But if I run the 2nd link I'll get my amp max of 1200x1 @ 1ohm???

Yes you have two SVC subs so wiring it like the 2nd link will get you to 1 ohm load.
