I pulled the panels. There are 4 screws and it comes right off. The stock speakers are 6x8. I installed 6.5 round in front and made an adapter to convert. I drilled holes and screwed the x-over to the door. If you want the simplest install go with coax. They are a straight swap. No adapter needed.

Thanks. Yeah, I'm well aware of the coax-comp pros and cons (pro/live sound is my background). I've just not worked in cars much. The principals of sound are the same though.
