Hey guys. I see I'm not the only one with this issue. The shop owner came back from his vaykay and I told him about the harness. He mentioned that he was unaware of the harness and the the manufacturer (Parrot) specializes in Bluetooth tech. He read briefly on the harness and I have an appointment Wednesday to install it. However, I received the harness today and something struck me as odd. The description of the harness on the paper states "FOR-11CK aftermarket wiring harness WITHOUT SYNC". Ummmm. I'm a bit confused. Is that, the wire does not support systems with SYNC or it bypasses SYNC and SYNC is a separate wiring system? What ever this guy did, my sync works fine. I do have the hiss as Grhmw described but I contribute that to a rush job in the wiring.. My knowledge (although novice level) says that power wires are to be installed on the opposite side of the car or well shielded from speaker wire. Don't think that this was done in my case. As for the amp, I too have an alpine. Wonder will this make a difference as it did with Neckbone? I also see other issues starting to occur. When I put the car in reverse, the rear camera cuts on and it's business as usual. When I go back to drive, the reverse camera is still on and the screen fails to go back to the home screen (or whatever screen is was on prior to). I must put the truck in park, then shift to drive for the screen to change Back to the home screen. All these electrical faults and errors are becoming a pain. I really don't want to keep going back and forth with this and having this guy toy around with my investment.

I'm using the FOR11CK harness and I can tell you that my 2017 XLT 302A with 8" screen and Sync 3 works just fine. No hissing, all chimes work.

I know it seems like we're beating a dead horse but I'm just trying to cover all the bases for any possibility for a resolution to this. I will have this guy install the harness and hopefully this takes care of the issues. I'd say I'll do it myself but since I've already paid for the install and the work is guaranteed, I will hand it over to the shop. However, if I see other issues surfacing, I will DIY from that point and then you guys will be hearing a lot more from me for tips and pointers. 😩

I have also ran into this issue, did anyone come up with a fix yet? I was thinking it was maybe because I disconnected my front center speaker, I hooked it back up, still no difference. I made a few changes through my install, as I was originally going to a DSP processor, but that processor didn't like the auto start/stop feature of my truck, I would get static every time my truck would re-start. Then, I just hooked up my speaker level runs from my factory deck to my crossovers, just to get them running. I wanna say when I did this I still had my chimes through my doors. I then picked up a Scosche SLC4 line level converter, so I could run my speakers off of my amp, as originally intended. When I did this, is when I seemed to have lost my chimes through my doors. Don't know why that was. Going to go back to running the factory deck to my crossovers, and see if I get my chimes back. Maybe something with the SLC4, or going through a line level converter?

I also came across this thread, post 56. Anyone have any luck with this? https://www.f150forum.com/f30/anyone...373202/index6/

Mine did the same, occurred immediately after disconnecting my front right speaker. Plugged it back in and didn’t come back. This was prior to installing any other equipment, harnesses, etc. Doesn’t appear to be a solution out there.

I too am having the same issue. I am using the FOR-11CK harness and small Alpine amp. All my chimes are coming out of the IP speaker. I had wondered if Forscan could correct this as I have seen this mentioned in some threads "Disable Open Speaker Circuit Detection".

My thought is if the truck thinks there is a speaker fault, it may not send warning chimes through the speaker. Otherwise, you'd never hear an alert that you were backing up into something or your seat belt was off.

It sounds like it’s detecting a speaker fault. Like I said, I lost mine as soon as I disconnected my front right speaker and this was prior to any other manipulation of the audio system. My door chime returned for a day but is now back to the IPC.

Weird. I played around with the fader this morning and went FR, FL, RR, and RL and it sounded fine. I am not hearing much out of the center speaker, but I'm pretty sure it works since I have done hands free calls no problem.

I had to turn the touch tones off in Sync b/c they were so much louder after the amp install. It also seems like the enhanced engine noise is louder now as well. Does anyone know if there is a way to adjust those?
