Might want to try a headache rack. There are various ones on the market and you are bound to find one you like the looks of. I was giving one a thought before I just drilled the damn hole.

Just a heads up.. You should just run one antenna. No need for two. If you wanna mount the other for looks then go ahead. A lot of big trucks mount two antennas and only run coax to one antenna. Maybe someone else can chime in on the technical side of it. Id recommend the predator 10k antenna.

The antennas need to be a minimum of 5' apart when mounting duals if I remember correctly. Try firestik.com for more on the subject.

If you get the proper distance between the dual antennas then you'll double the gain.

That is correct. I had them on my last truck and loved them.

Unfortunately most of these installs are going to be a compromise no matter what you do. Looked at the site and most of it is a lot of mumbo-jumbo. Follow good install practices and tune your antenna(s) to an optimal SWR and you will be fine. I've never been into the dual antenna concept on vehicles for performance as most is hype and placebo effect. They do look damn good though!!

Bottom line, you want to use them you will have to be creative about the way you mount them. Any perceived performance gain/loss is just that, in your mind. If you want a real performance antenna get yourself an old K-40 if they still make them. I had one in my CB days and that thing was amazing with performance.

Yep, that definitely takes priority. I now see your dilemma. Sorry I couldn't help.

BTW> Which brand and model cover do you have and do you like it?
