Are you set on building it yourself? You can buy a good box prebuilt at pretty good prices.

Do you already have the CVT already? you can buy the box and the sub for about $120 on ebay~!

I used to build boxes for years. Save yourself the hassle and buy one prebuilt. There is a guy on ebay that makes them out of 3/4" MDF. you can't beat that..

I agree with cltgt. I too build them for years and if you dont have the right tools, u will hate the project. the wood and carpet are gonna get ya at least close to have price of one if you bought it. custom might sound better if built to the right specs, but probably wouldnt be noticed or worth the time for you.

I am no expert and was able to build my own for a 10" kicker CVT. If you would like I could give you the mesurements from my box if you are still interested in building your own. To my ears it sounds good.

I gotta say, I dont think building one will cost you anywhere near $120, maybe $30 for MDF, which is more than you will even use so you will have alot left over, and the carpet is a little more...around here maybe $8 a yard, I built one for my truck and it was easy, just measure alot and cut your wood, seal the edges and there you go, you got a box

Edit:reread and seen $120 for sub AND box, but still building a box is more fun and to me its worth it just being able to say, Yeah I built that
