Ok so i went a very similar route. 5ways in the front doors, components split between tweeters and rear doors. My question for you is on the forscan setting. I am going to use the 4 speaker no tweeter option correct?
727-01-01-xx5x-xxxx-xxxx. 5=Front: External Variable & Rear: External Variable or do I want A=Front: Fixed Line Level & Rear: Fixed L/L?
and
727-01-01-xxxx-x0xx-xxxx 1=FT absent & CS : North American & ANC absent & USB present
anything else i might be forgetting? I did 727-01-02-x*xx-xx for the eq at 0

Hey sorry for the delay on updates. I've been busy with builds so didn't really have much time on my own shop truck. I'm hoping to free up some time soon but don't mind the business right now either if you know what I mean. My kids are hungry lol.

So I ordered these speakers via the amazon links. They sent me 6996S instead of the 6996R. No warranty card in the box and no serial number on the speaker. Looking online looks like these are the offshore version of the 6996R’s. If they are fake knockoffs, they are getting very good at hiding it. Makes me wonder about the 1606C’s that had a warranty card in the box but no serial number on the speaker either. I have an email in to Pioneer USA asking about them.
Most of the reputable online line stores show the 6996R as out of stock or discontinued. Pioneer shows the replacement model is the 6990F. Not sure how those compare to the 6996R’s as a viable replacement.

And this is why it's best to buy from an authorized dealer instead of online. I hope you won't have issues returning them.
