i think the space under the seats is ok enough for 1 10" -or- 1 or 2 8"....
the space with a box there is about 1.2 - 1.5 cu. ft.

most 8" , like this http://www.crutchfield.com/p_20610C84/Kicker-10C84.html require:
  • sealed box volume: 0.5 - 1.2 cu. ft.
  • ported box volume: 0.66 - 1.2 cu. ft.
now 2 8" is pushing the space..... making them running with the minimum configuration/size for each... now... 3? why??

Its been a while since I had something in my truck and was getting the itch. I had a single 10 inch Kicker shallow mount a few years ago in my other truck and I saw the 3 8's and thought it was different.

id8 D4 v.3
Minimum Sealed Box Volume.20 cubic feetMaximum Sealed Box Volume0.45 cubic feet

RE REXD4
Minimum Sealed Box Volume0.3 cubic feetMaximum Sealed Box Volume0.35 cubic feet

Never had the Image Dynamic or the RE subs but they seem to have decent reviews

Right now I have a temporary sub box there with only one 8" kicker, and is also with speaker facing up like in this setting. Problem is, all the metal inside the rear seat also vibrates with some songs and it affects the sound.
My conclusion is that I have to install a box with speaker facing down or front. Not up. For better sound.
And the speakers that you mention I don't know but their requirements cubic feet wise, will make them fit in that 3 speaker box you indicated.

That looks awesome! Three 8w3 JL would be nice if they are shallow enough. They like about .3 cuft of air space.

I used to compete with RE Audio. Their stuff used to be the bomb. Not sure since the buy out by US Amps, as they used to be the best amps too.

Mid 150's from a single SX10. I have a pair or NIB SE12 collecting dust in the garage.

Agreed on the airspace issue, but that's when you add more power to compensate for the lack of airspace
