Question B&O questions

Okay, I've been researching what I need to replace the B&O stuff. I have a 2018 KR and want to build me a system - I was going to lift the truck but decided I didn't want to go down that road again. Anyway, I have the Focal Expert line - PS 165F for the front doors/pillars and the PC 165F for the rear doors although they are not yet installed. I also have an under seat box that will house 2 JL 13tw5v2 subs from MTI.

1. I was thinking I had to use the Zen A2B but is the For 11CK something I can use versus a $600 piece? I want the best my budget allows and not opposed to using the Zen if it's needed.

2. I haven't decided on amps, but I do have an old school Rockford Power 500db amp (kinda big though), a Alpine PDX5 (old but still new in the box) and a RF Punch PBR 300x4 amp (new) and a RF P400-1 amp (also new). Are the JL amps worth using? They sure make the new amps much smaller than they used too!

3. It's my understanding I need a DSP as well?

Appreciate any input.

No. With B&O you need the nav tv unit.

You dont NEED a dsp...it is just strongly suggested... They are amazing devices...

Or you can use the Metra/Access unit which is cheaper, plug and play, and comes with a DSP built into it already. PM me if interested.

The axxess unit is not up to par with the NavTV. Yes it has a dsp but it's a graphical eq not parametric and is only tunable via mobile device. Graphical plus mobile only is a deal breaker because it is impossible to be accurate when tuning. Accuracy is why you use a dsp in the first place.

Go with the NavTV unit. You won't regret it.

OK does the NavTV unit come with a DSP? I wasn't aware of this. Or were you referring to getting the Dayton along with the NavTV unit?

Not recommending a dsp, just stating facts about the axxess unit. In other words, yeah the axxess unit has a "dsp" built in but the "dsp" is virtually worthless.

Oh come on now haha. It does serve a function but maybe not nearly as much as you'd like. I'm sure the common guy will love playing with it. You are simply the perfectionist.

1.) I have the NAV-TV Zen unit. Happy with it.
3.) I have the same Focal speakers you plan to run, and I heard them before and after being properly tuned via DSP, I say you "need" a DSP or else you're just pissing money away.

Thank you - I plan on a DSP for sure. What are you running?
