Are all of your speakers amplified? If so, you can use FORscan to change the output from high level to low level. This might get rid of your hiss, and you don't have to change any physical wiring since you're already setup with RCAs.

I believe RCA inputs are supposed to be low level. What I was referring to is the rectangle on the left of mine, it has an adaptor that you tap into your speaker wires with. I've seen RCA referred to as pre-amp inputs, which would be low level. Your speaker wire will be amplified already, so it's effectively amplifying an amplified signal. I believe this is what's causing the buzz you're hearing.

Just found this article from Sonic Electronix about this. https://knowledge.sonicelectronix.co...-level-inputs/

Tarred I get what your saying. It doesn’t have the speaker plug like yours instead it uses rca’s via the rca converters. All speakers are amplified also. I did notice today when I got on the interstate the fake engine noise was ridiculous now. Need to make an appt soon for that

RCA's can be low level or high level. Amps nowadays will automatically detect which type of signal is coming in and adjust appropriately. Saves them from having to use a molex connector and another wiring harness.

Well, appt at ford tomorrow to checkout my 4wd noise and turn off my fake engine noise. Also just ordered an audiocontrol LC7i and another speedwire. Hopefully that will clean up my audio. I also think these f150's have bass rolloff from the factory so the LC7i should correct that to. I just dont think my JL W3 sounds as it should right now...

yes amps have auto-sensing but i have never seen a high-level rca unless someone hacked some wiring together. it kinda defeats the purpose of using rca connections to run a high signal.

all factory systems severly edit the low end of the frequency spectrum. it's how they get away with the paper cone craptastic speakers

Just wanted to report my fix:

Ford disabled my fake engine noise; huge improvement with bass response and SQ not to mention that with it on it made a horrible ruckus.

Installed LC7i; wow! You can actually here how much the signal was cleaned up and the accubass is amazing. I actually unhooked my bass **** on my amp because it was unneeded and just complimented things.

Overall I’m 100% happy.
Thanks for y’all’s help
