Default Audio upgrade help please

Just "finished" an audio upgrade 2016 F150 Lariat w/Nav no sony.

I installed all new morel speakers and an alpine pdr-75 amp
i used a parrot harness and used rca converters + rca cables to send signal to the amp then ran a speed cable up front to connect to the harness then out to speakers.

I now have a buzz as soon as i press the truck start button and it continues (you can hear it with the songs too) and even after i turn the truck off and open the door. The amp stays on for about a minute then turns off. No buzz once amp finally turns off.

Does it sounds like i need to run a separate remote wire? or whats the deal?

I used the factory ground in the back of the cab cable is about 1.5 ft

Actually the amp stays on, just sounds like a faint AM frequency with a tic.

I would start by unplugging the RCAs one at a time and see if the buzzing stops. Also check the amp levels. Maybe too high

I believe the output signal even from non-Sony systems is "High Level" outputs. That's why you'd be getting the buzz/humming through the speakers since you used an RCA converter. FORSCAN has the ability to convert them to low level outputs, doing that should fix it all. Also, if you've got the 3.5 or 2.7 you can use that to turn off the fake engine noise that goes through the speakers.

Yeah, the amps stay on for so long in these trucks when utilizing the factory wiring system. I know mine stays on for a while after I turn the truck off.

Unplugging the RCAs one at a time does remove the static but only at its respective speaker. Once plugged back in the static is back

Try the Forscan inputs. From reading this thread it seems like it would help. https://www.f150forum.com/f30/anyone...373202/index5/

If FORSCAN would fix it i would do it but ive been holding out due to being unfamiliar with it, sounds scary! lol
