Default Audio Tuning?

Getting ready to finally attempt to tune my truck and my Harley and wanted to hear how most of you go about this.
What tips/tricks, audio CD's/sound files and or equipment do you use.

I still need to redo my amp rack, install JL Buletooth Communicator and JL Digital Remote Control, add sound deadening to the doors and try to get the rattles out of the rear view mirror and the roof console.

My components:
ZEN-A2B
JL VX1000/5i
Morel Tempo Ultra 602
Morel Tempo Ultra 602 Integra
MTI Acoustics sub box with (2) 12wt3

I have played with the DSP on the JL VX1000/5i some.

I listen to all types of music and with the JL DRC I can have a number of different DSP tuning files to switch from with a press of the button.

Thanks

Herb

You need Room EQ Wizard, a tuning mic, and a tuning cd with sweeps, tones, and test tracks. I would highly highly recommend the AudioFrog UMI-1 kit. Is has all of the items I listed plus more and a corresponding tuning guide!

Perfect!

I was going to PM you but figure this would be something others would benefit from too.

I'll do some more reading on the links you provided and I'll order the UMI-1.

Thanks again.

Absolutely! And if need help setting up your dsp, we can use team viewer and do it remotely. I can also show you around the JL tuning software too!

Right on.

I'm definitely going to order the AudioFrog UMI-1 kit tomorrow. Just read most of the links and looks like I can use this also to tune my Harley and home theater also. There was a few things that just went way over my head so I will definitely have more questions and will most likely take you up on the help after I get familiar with everything.

I have had the Audiofrog UMI-1 for a while now and been reading up on everything I can but it might as well be in a different language.

Anyone have any simplified instructions / tips to getting this hooked up and working.

Thanks

It may be easier to just walk you through the process step by step. PM me your cell number and I can set some time aside this weekend.
