Anyone use the JL FiX?

I have the Fix86 and a TWK88. No comparison with the DSR-1. If you want a boat load of features and simplicity of install, the JL products are the way to go. If you only want a simple DSP with a few features to suite your needs then the DSR-1 is for you. The JL products are made for those of us with audio OCD....

Now, from a processing standpoint, I can completely agree with you. The TWK is a better processor than the DSR1 hands down although both are capable of creating excellent sound. I do think there are better processors out there for the money with more features compared to the TWK but that's neither here nor there.
If we are talking non-amplfied factory systems, again, there are better processors out there that offer more features and have high to low conversion built in which the TWK does not offer.

The price of both those units combined is 850.00. There are better processors out there that do more for less. MiniDSP 6x8 $250.00, Dayton 408 $140.00, Helix DSP.2 $600.00, Mosconi Aerospace 6-8 $650.00
Helix and Mosconi are probably overkill for your needs but just for reference.
What factory system do you have?
What are you planning on installing?
What are you wants and needs?
What are your expectations with your system?

I plan to upgrade all of my speakers including the addition of amplifiers for the doors and one for a sub. I do not need a bunch of complicated calibration features and do not want to have a separate volume controller.
I have the Sony system and simply want to make it better without making it overly complicated. I want to retain all the factory chimes, beeps and tweets but lose the lame sound this system currently provides.

I personally had the dsr1 in my 2016 so if you need any help with setup, let me know.
Hush Car Audio on this forum can probably get you a deal. Send Bruce a message.

The TWK is not plug in play and if you need high to low level conversion, you will need the FIX.
