I just rcvd my 17' F150 xlt with factory installed Kicker Sub option.
I like the sound overall - and the sub does fill in the lows nicely.

Anyone else have this sub?
Is anyone experiencing a HUM when all audio is off?
Also while the system/truck is OFF - Seems I hear some inaudible audio coming from the sub (kinda like a TV was left on in another room)

Anyone experience this?
If so was there a fix?

Thanks for your report on the Kicker sub. I am waiting for mine to be installed later this week or early next week. I'm glad to hear that it fills out the lows nicely and that you're happy with it. Once everything is installed, I will let you know if I am experiencing the same oddities that you are with your sub.

Had the truck into the dealer for the HUM and sub noise. Dealer placed an inquiry with Ford Engineering. Ford confirmed it is a known issue however they do not have a fix as of yet. Was told they will keep me posted. Fingers crossed but do not have a whole lot of confidence on them gettin it fixed.

Haven't had the kicker - but used the factory sub harness for an aftermarket setup and experienced the same issue. Amp stayed on too due to the signal sensing. Have searched the forums and haven't seen a remedy. Good luck

Sport Mode

I just recently enabled the subwoofer plug through Forescan and get the same thing, happens when I open the door and the amp turns on. Drives me crazy. I was gonna try one of these that way the amp will only turn on when it get a 12v signal of my choosing.

I've got a 17 Lariat with the Sony system, including subwoofer, and I don't get any hum noise at all. Interesting that it's happening with the Kicker and aftermarket as well. Good luck with the issue OP.

Sport Mode

I installed the battery relay and works perfect now no more noise just opening the door, amp comes on as soon as I turn the key, very happy.
