Default Anyone fit 6 1/2" infinity's in 09-11 doors?

Wondering if anyone fit any 6.5 inch infinity's (reference, kappa, or perfect) in the front doors?? I see some people have used other brands just wondering about the infinities.

Crutchfield's website says the infinity 6.5" speakers do not fit in the 09-11... I have Alpine Type-Rs in mine http://www.crutchfield.com/s_500SPR1...ml?tp=95&avf=Y
They came with an adapter plate that mounted directly to the stock location, no problems. I did not buy them from Crutchfield.

That being said, if you wanted them, you could make your own mounting plate and MAKE them fit... there is enough depth in the opening and the opening is big enough to fit them, you'd just have to come up with your own way to mount them.

I got a set of 6.5 components in my 2010, only had to make a template. Traced around the old 5x7 on some masonite and cut that out and drilling out the 4 screw locations. Then measured and cut out the hole for the 6.5. I offset it a bit and was able to use two of the factory screws through the new speaker and the template into the door. Then used a small nut and bolt for the other two mounting holes only through the masonite. Only took about 15 mins to do with a jigsaw and a drill.
