Default Avic D3

I have one, and haven't had one problem. I've had it now for about 1 year and also wired it so I can play movies & input nav address while driving.

How is the navigation on it? Is it pretty simple to use and accurate? Do you have your phone or Ipod hooked up to it. How was the install? Can you hook up the rear view camera to it?

I also installed the D3 on my 01 myself and found it to be fairly easy if you take your time and trim the area behind the radio a little at a time. Also get a wiring haness for your truck and the install kit so it will slide and lock into the hole and cover the gap on the sides. As far as the NAV goes, it basic but works ok mostly. The D3 works good on all aspects but doesn't work great on any,if that makes sence. My blutooth kit is a very nice feature but a little hard to navigate through your adress book while driving. Same goes for my IPod addapter. Plays all my stuff but a pain to scroll through the playlist. I do play DVD's occationally and thats kind of fun. My backup camera is a very nice feature esspecially for hooking up to my trailer.

there not bad units either of them, kenwoods navigation is far superior, but the pioneer is not a bad unit all around aside from the occasional ground looping problems
