I really don't want to have the subs up firing but this might be an option.

Why?? Nothing bad but WHY Alpine?? Why spend big bucks on a over rated sub? My cousin has two 12's and I'm not impressed.. I'd suggest opening up the playing field.... Sundown 8's are giving bigg results right now... RE Audio, DC SoundLab, Image Dynamics.. I like going against the grain.. I've been successful.. My RE's are plenty loud...

Look like its for 12's your design would be smaller.. That looks like 2cu.in per sub... You would probably be able to keep it on the floor and not on the seat if you are still planning on adding that extra 2in height...

im not spending to much on them i can get 2 brand new for $140 and im looking to get them because they will fit under my backseat. I'm really tired of having my current 2 kicker cvr 12's on my back seat so that's why I wanted to get them, as long as the sound quality is good I don't care. I would get RE's or something else but they won't fit under my backseat and I can't get a good deal like I can on these.

RE's won't fit?? What year is your truck?? Mine fit fine under the seat.. All 6 inches... Two subs $180... What box are you using?? Did you build it or is it a pre-fab? What's the specs?? I ask this because if you have poor quality sound now and you are putting new subs in the same box you may end up still having poor quality.. Kicker requires to much airspace for my taste... I'm a L7 guy...

I have a Pre-Fab FOX ACOUSTIC box... Best box out there as a secondary to a custom built box

Edit: you have 12's??

I'm thinking he has a airspace issue with his current setup... Hopefully that's not the case..

there will be big difference between two 10's and two 12's.. so dont think its going to sound the same or be as loud
