Default Angled door speakers....

Ok, it appears that in my 06 there is about an 1 1/2" gap between the speaker and door panel grill. I'm thinking of angling my 6 1/2 mid up and back towards the listener a bit. Also considering putting foam baffles with some poly fill behind the mids. Has anyone here angled their mids?

Well after 69 views, I guess not. I know I'm a little old school but after winning over 100 trophies from all over the world with the system in my 94 grand am gt, I think I have a pretty good idea what I'm doing.

Although the doors are not completely sealed as is from the factory, and these speakers (size) are really not competition ready, you may end up reducing the bass from them even more by creating a non-mated surface to the door. Unless you design a mount that is flush to the door and the speaker at an angle you will not be flush.

Polyfill will do nothing and I can speak from experience. A little bit here and there is a waste of time. Seal it, Mat it, make a flush mount....... You can do it.
