Default Amp question???

I'm getting a voice amp installed for my component speakers and was wondering where would be a good place to put it? Was thinking about removing the back seat and putting it there and by the way it's on a 06 f150 ext cab

Back wall behind seat or under seat. I mounted mine under the small jump seat.

Would there be a heating issue with the amp if I mounted it on the back wall behind the seat?

That's where mine has been for over 2 months with no problems. Some, probably most amps now have an automatic turn-off if it gets too hot, preventing you from damaging your amp. Just be sure there is space between your amp and back seat, and that they aren't flush with each other

Nope, none at all. It's a Alpine PDX-F6 running my door speakers, doesn't even get hot to the touch. I plan to put another one back there to power my 2 Image Dynamics IDQ-10's
