I like that itís foam, butyl, and foil all in one for their pro series. I was thinking it was some of the best stuff, and recommended by Car Audio Fab on Youtube. I believe he is sponsored by them though, so thereís definitely bias. What would you suggest? Iím not dead set on anything yet.

How high did you lift the rear seat? Holy smokes.

I considered a small 2" LMI rear seat lift, but at 6ft tall, I would have lost too much headroom. I doubt my children could sit in your truck.... that is going to be loud.

i used the LMI kit. Iím 5í11Ē and thereís tons of headroom. My 6í2Ē buddy sat back there to see how it would be and the headroom isnít an issue. If anything, legroom is a bit better because of the height. It didnít change the backseat space much. I donít see how children wouldnít fit..

Before I dive fully into DSP land I decided I wanted to try just a small woofer. I snagged a JL XD300/1 with remote gain level adjustment ****, ordered a JL 10" TW1-2 and also ordered the harness for the C pillar plug in.. I'm going to build a box and try to sneak it under the 40% side of the rear bench down firing. I'm pretty sure I can make a box around .5 cu ft. so with the the woofer in it I should come out to right near the recommended .35 cu ft. The trick is the height, I hope to do it out of all MDF but it's got a 4.36" mounting depth, I can either reduce the back down to .625 MDF or use fiberglass to gain some additional height but I really want the box to fit flush under the seat and match the contours well. I'm also thinking about doing something like Slodat's design but not convinced I want to go to that much work. I was thinking about making a template out of a thin piece of plastic or mdf then making a bunch of copies on a router table, or make it out of birch plywood and I could entertain using a waterjet. Any suggestions Slodat for making the ends?

Car Audio Fabrications dude was also sponsored by Second Skin a few years back. He will say whatever to get paid FYI.

This forum is amazingly full of talented people. That box looks like it took a massive amount of time to create.
