Damn it... I really hate that I just found this while bored at work. I just put together a whole new list of parts, replacing stuff I was mostly happy with. Started out looking at subs, and ended with a list for a DSP, 6-channel amp, door speakers/tweeters, on top of the list I had already made for 2 (maybe 3) either Sundown 10" SD3's or 2/3 JL 10TW3's, which will need either a 1,000W RMS amp for 2, or a 1,500W RMS amp for 3. My plans just crossed into the $2K range very quickly.

I think you meant 3k, dont cheap out on us now. It’s only money. In fact its almost considered a healthy investments becaue you wont be able to afford eating out or beer. It’s better for you than a gym membership.

Lol. Let’s do some quick estimates figuring on two SD3’s.

2- Sundown Audio 10SD3’s $210/each $420 total
1 - Pioneer GM-D9601, rated 1200W RMS @ 1ohm $180
Custom box, custom paint, etc, $600
1 - DSR1 $225
1 - F02 harness $30
1 - AudioControl LC6.1200 $700
havent Priced new wiring or speakers yet, so we’ll throw in $100 for 0 gauge wiring
$600 for speakers
and $100 for miscellaneous bits
for a grand total of $2,755. My wallet hates this forum. Haha. I’ll probwbly start watching for sales and get stuff slowly to start with. I’m trying to buy a house soon so I can’t go hog wild immediately.

Talk to Bruce at Hush car audio. He can more than likely cut that price down by a significant amount.

I plan to reach out when I get closer to doing it. I imagine by ordering all at once I could get a better price.

I also forgot about $700 for SoundSkins deadener, and various stuff to stop rattles, although I’m ordering stuff tomorrow to fix rattles. That Sundown EV3 rattles the hell out of my overhead bin and door panels.

Any particular reason why you are going with sound skins? It's definitely the most expensive but I do not think it's the best out there. It's good, don't get me wrong but not good enough to justify the extra cost.

It’s tight, but they fit, have clearance and air space.
