Amp in the center console - 2011 F150 FX4

So, the amp is in the center console which turns out a great place to put it! I have quick and easy access to gains to customize to taste. Wire running/cable management was a breeze! I have run the system hard and the unit barely got warm. It is an Alpine 4+1 that powers front components, rears and a JL audio 13" stealth sub.
Thanks again for all of the perspectives!!

I am not going to detail how everything was done. The highlights are:
I wanted the amp in the center console so that I could get at it if necessary. This also allowed very easy running of wires and cables - especially the ground. I wanted to be able to still use the power outlet for charging. At first with class D, I was not worried about heat, but came up with an idea to provide cooling when and if needed as well as having the ability to shut out the heat in the Winter months. So...
I removed the center console completely (6 bolts)
I then removed the air ducts from the console assembly ( 4 copper screws)
I drilled 2 holes in the bottom of the console to run the wires: 1 for the power, ground and amp turn on and one for the rca's, speaker wires and the bass control.
For cooling, I used a PVC dual threaded female adapter at HD. I marked and drilled into the driver side duct and into the console where the air could pass onto the top of the amp. I caulked where the adapter went into the duct.
I then built a shelf out of 1/4 plywood and shelf supports out of a 1/'2 dowel. I painted both with semi-gloss black. I used level to mark and permanent double sided tape to attach the shelf so that the shelf would sit just on top of the cooling tube. In the winter, I bought a right sized threaded cap and painted that too so I can shut out the heat.
Running the wires was a complete snap. Power is run through the firewall on the passenger side through the extra nub (which I cut off) in the large grommet just under the main plugs. The ground is run up toward the front - there are 2 screws that can be used under the console. The ground is less 2.5' in length.
I used a 2" strip of industrial velcro to hold the amp in place, but I can easily lift it if I want to access the gains.
There are some pictures that hopefully make some sense along with the write up! Let me know if you have any questions.

I installed component speakers in the front and rear largely due to movie watching and there is a JL audio 13" sub too - the truck sounds incredible. And lastly, this is why we have our truck!
