Default Which amp?

Have 1 12" Powerbass sub in a sealed box. It's a dual 4 ohm, 300 w rms, 600 w max.

I had a 240w 2 channel amp bridged to 2 ohm, but it took a crap. So, now about to order another budget friendly amp. Not looking at specific brands ,but just need to know should I get a 1 channel amp or a 2 channel amp and bridge it to 2 ohm again, should I just do a 300w amp or bump up a little more?

Audiocontrol acm-1.300 $250.00 MSRP. Message Bruce @ HushCarAudio. He can beat that price.

The amp is very small, very efficient, and extremely high quality.

You can't bridge a 2channel amplifier to a 2ohm load, only a 4ohm load. That's why it took a crap, you killed it.

Get a mono (1) channel Class D amplifier of your choice. They can handle a 2ohm load.

the distortion is a number i look for because even though watts are watts and you might find X amp that does 1000 watts and Y amp that does 1000 watts.. one of the major things that sets them apart is the level of distortion at those 1000 watts
