Hit Menu-Settings-"Next"
Press/hold at the top center of the screen for 5-10 seconds.
Menu should pop up that says "Brake Override On-Off".
Choose "Brake Override - On"
As far as the Sirius tuner issue - the only reason it would be greyed out is if it wasn't plugged in - try unplugging it, then plug it in again and check to make sure the male plug is all the way seated.

Advent Backup Camera Trigger
I'm about to install my Advent system and picked up this tailgate camera:
http://tailgatecamera.com/products/f...back-up-camera
It has a red wire next to the video input that is supposed to tell the head unit when to switch to reverse camera. The other end (by the camera) is hooked to the reverse wire and also powers the camera.
Advent has an "instant on" for reverse camera. Does that mean the use of the red lead (by the video output) isn't needed?
Thanks!

I bought my BU camera with the Advent. It is the Ford emblem camera. On it's setup, I could either get the trigger on power at the rear or in the cab. I tapped the center wire in the 7-pin trailer socket. The red wire in the cab I taped off since it was not needed. I am guessing it is the same for you. Use one or the other but not both.

My camera is different. With that in mind, The only thing I did was tap the center wire on the 7-pin trailer connector with the red wire, connect the video wire to the camera in the back of the truck. I taped off the other end of the red wire in the cab. I grounded the black wire in the cab and plugged the yellow RCA to the Advent. That is it. The was no blue wire. For me, the trigger wire was the center wire of the trailer connector.

Thanks, good info. Any idea what the blue wire is behind the radio? I found some articles calling it the "camera trigger". I hooked it up to the red wire, hoping it would power the camera...which I don't think it is. Do you know if the blue wire is a +12v source or is it an input from reverse light tap from the trailer socket?

For anyone that has hooked up the factory backup camera. How's your picture quality?
Mine is very grainy and has some interference lines. I have double checked the splices RCA connection and routing the RCA cable differently with no change at all.
