Just installed mine along with backup camera. Overall I I'm liking it. I have same results with steering wheel volume slow to turn down radio. Anyone find a screen protector to put on these yet?

Reb...I still have my backup camera to install. Never got around to it but plan on it this spring. Where did you tap for power to the camera?

Right behind the deck. It has I think 4 extra wires labeled for switched 12v , extra ground, remote amp and forgot the 4th. I just used the 12v acc and ground. No need to tap into reverse lights as the radio knows to switch to backup camera when you put in reverse.

I also followed the instructions on website on how to add a few texts lines to the sd card so the navigation skips the "accept" page and goes straight to navi

I have a 2012 fx4 screw and this Advent unit over a yr and I'm very pleased with it..my only issue is the auto dim on the radio buttons above the screen. These sometimes don't come on at night with all the other interior lights etc? Anyone else have this issue? if I hit the the dim switch on left side of dash they come on. Minor inconvienience but was just curious

If you check the actual advent website , I believe I saw a download update that was talking about that.

So Im finally gonna bite the bullet and get the advent unit. I have the Sony system in my truck so I will need to replace the factory amp. What channel amp will do? 2/3/4/5 channel?

All you will need is a 2 channel. The only thing the amp is powering is the sub.
