Default Adding an amp and sub to the Sony Sync system ('15 f150)

So I just had a local shop instal a JL 10tw3-D4 in a custom box under the passenger side rear seat. This is hooked up to a JL 250/1v2 amp. He removed the stock sub and used its wires to connect the line converter for the amp. The box is real nice and speaker sounds good but now there is a total loss of mid range sound.

Other er than the obvious removal of the stock sub, does this mod do something to adversely effect the system?

It shouldn't unless the factory sub was crossed over too high. (On a Sony it is crossed over at the amp under the center console.) You can raise the crossover on the amp to get the voices you are missing back

Thanks Wyo..

I put the stock sub back in and it made all the difference. That's what I get for being lazy and having someone else do the work for me. Dumbass cut the harness for the sub so he could use it for the line converter so I had to put that back together. I moved the amp down to the under seat storage. Gotta say the stock system Sounds pretty good with the added 10" oomph.

Just asking the question about your pic it shows the gray and white wires mixed per channel like gray and white to left and also to the right I have the same converter and if Im reading the instructions seems it could be wrong maybe a pro audio installer can chime in
I would like to know so I connect mine correctly and maybe that is the problem you are having??

Good question...i did not hook it up originally. Installer did it but he cut the harness since he initially removed the sub. I just put the harness back together and hooked it back up the way he had it. It sounds fine the way it is, but I'll be interested to see if someone has some input.

I would say at first look that it is wired wrong. That both gray should be connected together as well as both white.
