Adding 05 factory sub wire help
I got a factory sub and the plug was already under the rear seat so I plugged it in and can't find the plug to go into my head unit...any tips? I had to buy the audiophile head unit but the rear wire for the sub was already there. Really confused on this one.

On Chrysler products ( Chrysler tech) the harnesses are universal for most vehicles so your wiring is probably already made into the dash harness do you have the factory head unit for a rear sub?

I had to add the factory head unit that will accommodate a factory sub BUT the plug for the rear sub was already there. I just can't find the wire/plug behind the radio.

Have you checked to see if the power is live at the sub connector?
Even if you can't find the connector behind the head unit, it won't be too bad to wire in. You can pickup the connector for the radio in Metra's reverse harness pack, and then just run the wires with new stuff.

You just need to buy the little adapter thing that plugs into the back of the radio. I bought mine locally from Earmark, cost like $17?
I went through the same deal when hooking my HU up, it's a simple job. Good luck

Thanks for all the replies/help so far. I've traced the wires to a large pin connector just under the hood release in the driver side kick panel(BTW if you are looking for yours they are in a foil wrap). Do I need to put pin connectors on the plug I'm going to buy or is it going to be easier to just splice into the wires with butt connectors and forget about that plug where they terminate at?
I can post pics of the connector if needed.
Also do I need http://www.metraonline.com/part/71-5520-1 or http://www.metraonline.com/part/70-5521
I haven't seen any rca cables yet :/ do I need them?

You'll need to create the harness from the Metra kit connector to some location where you can splice into the existing circuits.

The RCA wires are there, just no "RCA" ends, they're not needed.
